Description

The Bakeout Control Unit BCU13 version 1.20 is the equipment for heating zones of the vacuum systems as well as heating samples inside the preparation chambers. Since the single unit is suitable for controlling two heating zones (two independent heaters), it is possible to utilize it in various configurations for heating vacuum systems and preparation chambers. In the current version 1.20 the application of a given zone is determined while manufactured and it cannot be user-modified. Mostly the BCU13 is delivered and configured as an integral part of the custom vacuum systems. There is one additional option which allows the customer to independently control other nonregulated heaters ( i.e. Ion Pump heaters ). For this propose an independent timer has been used.

Application

The main tasks of the BCU13 are regulation and stabilization of the power supplied to the heaters in order to achieve required bakeout temperature in the given zone. Both, destination temperature and stabilization time of the target temperature in the heating zones are userdefined.
