Description

The HEAT1-PS is the power supply designed for heating sample on sample holder under clean UHV-conditions using resistance heating method (heater is located close to the sample which becomes hot).

This method is used for temperature up to 1500 °C. Temperature depends on max power available in the version of HEAT1-PS.


Application

The HEAT1-PS is used for resistance heating method only. The Power Supply can also be used for effusion cell evaporators. The unit is equipped with PID temperature controller Eurotherm 2408 which stabilizes temperature at desired level. Ramp power heating protects the heater from overheating the sample.

The user can work in AUTO mode (with temperature control) or MANUAL mode (without temperature control).


Additional information

For fast cooling of the sample HEAT1-PS can control the cooling valve (optional). The heating process can be controlled by the computer through the RS-232 or RS-485 communication interface and dedicated application. The HEAT1-PS is mounted in the 19" rack (full-width, 3 units height) or free standing.
