![]() DescriptionThe HEAT2-PS is a dual mode power supply designed for heating samples under UHV-conditions via resistance or electron beam methods. Resistive heating is controlled by an integrated PID temperature controller and heating element. In electron beam heating, a cathode at negative potential emits electrons which are then accelerated to the grounded sample, heating it by electron bombardment. Electron beam heating is suitable for sample heating up to 2000°C. The unit is also fully software controlled and webenabled so that it can be operated over any network, including the internet. Only one communication interface can be chosen at time of order (please refer to table) but this can be easily changed in the future via simple rear panel plugin connection modules, without ever having to access the internals of the unit. ApplicationThe HEAT2-PS power supply is designed for accurate, stable power delivery for heating samples under clean UHV-conditions. It is a dual mode supply, suitable for power delivery and control for both resistive and electron beam heating methods. Resistance heating is suitable to raise sample temperature up to 1500°C. Electron beam heating is suitable to raise sample temperature up to 2000°C.SoftwareFull dedicated software application or library module.
