Description
The Stepping Motor Control Driver SMCD20 is designed for controlling the stepping motor with the encoder and safety limit switches in the precision transferring system, eg. manipulator, sample transferring system, system table positioning and other.
Additional information
The SMCD20 electronics is mounted in the 19" rack (1/2 width, 3 units height).
| Specification |
Stepping Motor |
Two-phase hybrid stepper motor unipolar or bipolar control standard stepper motor 200 steps/revolution. Other resolutions of steps available on request. Motor current 0 ÷ 4A (preset) per motor coil for “Stop” and “Run” State. Support full and half steps mode, optionally can support quad and octal steps mode. (preset) |
| Encoder | Standard 400 pulses/revolution Incremental encoder used for standard motors with 200 steps/revolution in full step mode, or 400 steps/revolution in half step mode. Other resolutions of steps available on request. |
Programmable Input / Output |
8 programmable inputs can be used as limit switches, reference sensors or other safety switches. The inputs signals can immediately affect the control of the stepping motor (limit the maximum movement range, setting the reference position for encoder), or can be read transparently by the computer. Possibility of use external encoder for full range movement control (outside motor module), instead of motor's one eg. encoder ring for differential pumping feedtrough. |
Communication Interface | Half duplex RS-485 Serial Interface and Communication protocol with CRC check redundancy sum, allows to connect a few devices together using one 2 wire cable and controlling them with computer programme. |
Stepping motor control functions |
Programmable Velocity, Acceleration and Deceleration time, Programmable Motor coil current for “Stop” and “Run” state, Programmable Half or full steps mode. Programmable and control the motor system backlash offset. |
| Dimensions | 212 x 133 x 240 mm (W x H x D) |
